Getting Killer Deals with Online Coupon Codes

Thousands of well-known online stores like Wal-Mart, Best-Buy, and Overstock.com have a place within their shopping cart for a "coupon code". You can get some great discounts if you know where to find these codes. Discount or promotional codes can be found on numerous Websites, but the problem is most offers are for a limited time only and most of the webmasters don’t update there sites on a regular basis. Often when you find the special coupon you were looking for you also find that they’ve already expired.

One of my favorite coupon sites is CurrentCodes.com. They claim to have a full staff constantly searching the Net for the latest coupon codes. They also claim to update their site by the hour. The site is relatively easy to navigate. You can browse by merchant, alphabetically, or by category.

I found some really good discounts on baby products such as diapers formula and even a rocking horse. I’ve also found some excellent discounts on clothing for men, women, children and babies. There is a much higher mark-up in clothing then in, let’s say, electronics so it’s usually pretty easy to find some deep discounts.

CurrentCodes.com is just one of hundreds of sites that offer discount coupon codes. In fact, before you buy anything online just do a Google search for the name of the store plus the words coupon code, discount code or promotional code.

Look for a place in your shopping cart to apply the code then press the “update shopping cart button”. If there is not a place to insert your code in the shopping cart then look for it on the order review page prior to checkout. If you don’t find any place to put the code look for a FAQ (frequently asked questions) page or customer service page. If you can’t find it just contact the merchant via their “contact us” page.

Another type of discount you’ll find online is “link coupon”. This type of coupon doesn’t require you to insert a code to redeem the coupon. For example when you see a banner or link that says 40% off click here and there is no code simply click the link and you will automatically receive the discount at checkout. If you do not see the discount on the order review page don’t place the order.

Another way to find some really good deals online is to check out the forums of the coupon sites. You will always find people talking (bragging) about the good deals they’ve found here and there.
